Petite Fava Leaf™ is a crisp leafy green with tiny black specks, and a full fava bean flavor (similar to pea vines, but less sweet). Though fresh fava beans have a relatively short season each year, fava greens are available year round. They are delicious either raw or very lightly cooked, allowing them to be used in a wide variety of dishes. They’re particularly well suited to Italian, Chinese & Thai dishes.
These fava leaves are considered a “petitegreen.” This means that they are somewhat older than a microgreen, making them larger and more impressive while offering fairly similar flavor and tenderness to a true microgreen.
