Bone-in goat legs are delicious braised or slow roasted.  The meat can also be cut off the bone for use in slow-cooked braises, soups, stews & curries.

Goat meat may be the most widely consumed meat in the world and is particularly popular in China, Pakistan & India.  Its flavor is often described as beefy, but leaner than beef with a bit of sweetness.  Goat meat is extremely low in fat and lower in cholesterol, saturated fat, and calories than beef, pork or lamb, while being higher in iron and offering excellent protein, zinc and vitamin B12 content.

This goat is raised free range in Australia without the use of hormones or antibiotics.  These legs are sold with the bone in.

Thawing Tips

Goat legs are best cooked slowly until tender – either slow roasted or braised. They can be cooked whole or deboned & cut into smaller pieces for use in slow-cooked stews, curries, etc.

Goat meat is traditionally paired with flavors like cinnamon, ginger, cumin, tamarind, mint, onions, limes, curry spices, jerk seasonings, honey or chilies.
