Habanero Chiles (Capsicum Annuum) are very hot chiles. Behind the heat is a fruity flavor that makes these chiles a wonderful way to spark up a dish. Habanero chilies are round, oblong and about ¾ inch wide. Consider the habanero to be a 10 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the hottest).  

We also offer organic habanero chilies and pre-ground habanero chili powder.

Caution: These chilies are extremely hot.

  • Wear gloves while handling chilies. Wash hands thoroughly before touching eyes & sensitive tissue.
  • If grinding, avoid inhaling powder. Eye & respiratory protection recommended.
  • In the event of inhalation, move to open air to clear lungs.
  • In the event of burning eyes, flush with eye wash. For burning skin, wash thoroughly with soap & water.
  • If irritation persists, seek medical aid.
*Kosher: 1, 2, 5 and 10 lb sizes are marked kosher. Smaller packages are not currently marked kosher (but are certified).

Storage: Store habanero chilies in an air-tight container in a cool, dark cupboard.

Shelf Life: Habanero chilies will retain their potency for at least a year, but likely much longer.


Habaneros are very, very hot. Use them sparingly, add a little to fresh salsa, sauces, chili and anything else you want to start a 4 alarm fire with. Great in tortilla soup and other Mexican recipes.
