Dried Chipotle Chilies

Starting at $19 4oz

Chipotle chilies (Capsicum Annuum) are simply dried jalapeno peppers. The jalapenos are dried and smoked, turning them into the delicious Chipotle chile. These morita chilies have a unique, medium hot, smoky flavor which is popular in many southwestern dishes.

Chipotle peppers are about 2-4 inches in length, 1 inch in width, and have a deep reddish brown color.

Scoville Heat Rating: 10,000-50,000

Origin: Mexico

Applications: Use Chipotles in enchilada sauces, chili, stews, barbecue ribs, and corn bread. Their smoky quality combines well with poultry, meats and fall squash.

Shipping: UPS Ground
