Storage: Fresh chives are extremely delicate and should be stored in the warmest part of your refrigerator (often near the light).
Long term storage of chives is not recommended, as they do not retain their crispness or flavor well, but in a pinch they can be frozen on a sheet tray using the methods described in
How to Freeze Better at Home, then moved to an air-tight container in the freezer.
Shelf Life: Three or four days fresh.

Though chives work very well with potato, butter, and cream dishes, they’re also delicious with
seafood, shellfish, and eggs. Try adding chives to your next salad (particularly with a creamy dressing) to enjoy their delicate flavor in a new way.
