Wahoo (aka Ono) is a very large, long, lean fish with a firm texture similar to tuna or mackerel.  Their meat is pink when raw, opaque and white when cooked with a large flake.  They have a mild, adaptable flavor and are often paired with tropical ingredients.

These fillets have been expertly hand cut from fish weighing between 20 & 30 pounds.

Store wahoo fillets in your freezer until you're ready to use them, then thaw.


Thawing Tips

Shelf Life:

Wahoo is quite perishable & should be used soon after thawing.

Wahoo fillets can be grilled, broiled, sautéed, or smoked.  Marinating works particularly well with this fish.

Pair wahoo fillets with spicy chilies, coconut, cilantro, tropical fruit, citrus fruit and/or garlic.
