Saffron milk cap mushrooms (Lactarius deliciosus - aka delicious milk cap, red pine mushrooms) are convex or vase-shaped mushrooms typically cooked or pickled. The dried version has an earthy, smoky flavor and a slightly crunchy texture once rehydrated.

Store saffron milk cap mushrooms in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
RECIPES & TIPS
Saffron milk cap mushrooms can be rehydrated before being sautéed or added to casseroles. The rehydrating liquid will turn a beautiful saffron color and can be used as you would stock in soups, stews, risotto, etc. They can also be rehydrated by simmering with other ingredients in soups or stews.
