Product Information


Cloud ear mushrooms (auricularia polytricha) are ruffled, thin black mushrooms similar to wood ear mushrooms, but smaller. When rehydrated they have a soft, firm, smooth texture and a delicate earthy flavor. They’re traditionally used to add textural contrast to soups and stir fried dishes.

Each dried ounce will reconstitute to 3-4oz of mushrooms.


Store dried cloud ear mushrooms in an air-tight container in a cool, dry place.


Dried cloud ear mushrooms can be rehydrated by soaking them in boiling water for about 15-20 minutes until tender (How to Reconstitute Dried Mushrooms). They can also be added to soups or braises to rehydrate during the cooking process (simmer or braise for at least 25 minutes to soften).

Cloud ear mushrooms can be used in stir fry dishes, soups, sauces or stuffing.
