Black garlic is conventional garlic that has been carefully fermented/roasted for three weeks, until the cloves soften and turn dark black. It is sweet (but not cloying) with plenty of umami, a more mild garlic aftertaste, and notes of molasses, balsamic, licorice or tamarind-like flavors.

Black garlic powder packs a tremendous amount of punch into a convenient, easy to use form. It’s ready to add to spice blends, rubs, marinades, dressings, mixes, and other recipes with easy measurement and no pre-prep.

Each teaspoon of black garlic powder is roughly equivalent to a clove of black garlic.


Store black garlic powder in an airtight container in a cool, dark, dry place.


Black garlic powder is ready to use right out of the package and is easy to add to baked goods, burger, meatball or meatloaf blends, vinaigrettes & other dressings, spice blends/rubs, marinades & more.

Black Garlic Recipes

Ground sassafras can be used as a thickener or seasoning. Its flavor is potent, so a little goes a long way when using it. To thicken with sassafras, add it to liquids (soups or stews) before simmering/boiling them.
