Beeler’s Pure Pork Chorizo Sausages are made with Red Duroc pork from Iowa. Six generations of Beelers have been raising this European crossbreed, renowned for beautiful marbling and free of antibiotics and growth promotants. They believe they’ve come up with “the perfect pig.” We bet you’ll agree after tasting these zesty, hickory smoked Chorizo sausages. Their flavor is enhanced by more than half a dozen spices, among them chili pepper, cinnamon, clove, coriander, cumin, garlic, and oregano.

Thawing Tips

Chorizo can be grilled or fried as links or sliced, but you can also remove the meat from its casing and crumble it for use as an ingredient to add zip to other dishes, from egg scrambles to steamed clams to our own chorizo mashed potatoes recipe.

Browning sliced or crumbled chorizo first when using in a dish renders flavorful spiced fat into the pan that can be used as the cooking fat for the rest of your recipe. Once it’s cooked, remove the sausage from the pan and return it near the end to avoid overcooking it.
