An unusual and visually striking shoot variety, Kaiware shoots have long stems topped with small double-leaf clusters. They have a crisp, sprout-like texture and a spicy radish-esque flavor that can be used to add spice to a wide variety of sandwiches and plated dishes (they particularly excel with seafood).
They are available in two flavor/color variations:
Red Kaiware Shoots™ have white & purplish-pink stems topped with dark purple-red leaves. Their radish flavor is fairly strong (spicier than Micro Radish Ruby™).
Gold Kaiware Shoots™ have white stems with just a touch of pink, topped with golden yellow-green leaves. Their radish flavor is more mild, with a slightly spicy finish.
