Gold Peanut Shoots
Choose 4, 8 or 16oz.
Peanut shoots have delicate, thin stems, and small yellow-gold leaves. Their flavor is grassy, with a sprout-like crunch and a slight, radish-esque spiciness in the finish.
Store peanut shoots in your refrigerator in their plastic clamshell. Note: Extended periods of light exposure can change these shoots’ color from gold to green.
Approximately 5 days.
RECIPES & TIPS
Peanut shoots add height, color, texture and a hint of spice to dishes when used as a top garnish or bed for seafood, poultry or meat. Try tossing them in salads or using them in sandwiches instead of bean sprouts or lettuce.
