Dahlias are large, impressive blossoms with orange or yellow centers and broad petals that curl upward at the edges.
Dahlias vary in size quite a bit. As a rough estimate, they can range from around a little under 2” wide to around 4 ½” wide. Dahlias come in a variety of colors, and are sold as a blend of colors that can vary with availability.
Edible dahlias’ flavor is slightly spicy, grassy, and sweet. Generally dahlias will float well in liquids, though how well can vary with the blossom’s size and shape.
