Fresh Chocolate Bellflowers
Choose 100, 200, or 300 flowers
Chocolate bell flowers are small flowers colored with layers of purple, orange and yellow (their appearance evokes caramel corn). They have a delicate texture and their flavor has a radish-like bite and a faint, chocolate-esque finish (somewhat similar to the chocolate flavor in chocolate mint).
Chocolate bellflowers average about 5/8th inch long and ¼ inch wide at their widest point.
Store chocolate bell flowers in their plastic clamshell in your refrigerator.
Approximately 5 days.
RECIPES & TIPS
Use chocolate bellflowers to bring color, bite, and just a touch of chocolate flavor to salads, sweets or savory dishes. Because their appearance evokes candy corn, they're a great choice for Halloween themed dishes!
Some edible flowers may wilt or change color when exposed to vinegar, so if using a vinegar-based dressing on salads containing edible flowers, test it on a few blossoms ahead of time and/or add it at the last second.
