PRODUCT INFO
Bacon ends are just that—the end pieces of a whole slab of bacon. They are handy when you want short slices or need bits and pieces of bacon for rendering or flavoring dishes.
Beeler’s Pure Pork Bacon Ends comes from free-range, humanely raised red Duroc pigs, a European crossbreed known for its marbling.
The Beeler family has been raising “the perfect pig” since 1846. Committed to never, ever using hormones, growth promotants, antibiotics and crates, they give their pigs room to root, roam, socialize and express their natural instinctive behaviors. With six generations of expertise, Beeler’s combines Old World animal husbandry and the natural lineage of their pigs with today's sophisticated breeding methodology to produce a product that is wholesome, flavorful, and all-natural.
STORAGE
Store frozen meats in your freezer until you’re ready to use it, then thaw only as much as you plan on cooking.
RECIPES & TIPS
Bacon ends can be cut into bits and pieces to render for flavoring other dishes, like chowders, collard greens or meat braises. Use them to make bacon bits for garnishing twice baked potatoes or Cobb salads. Start cooking the bacon over medium heat. When the rendered fat starts to foam, lower the heat so that the pieces cook more evenly. Drain on paper towels.
