For six generations the Beeler family of Iowa has been raising Red Duroc pigs, a European breed that produces beautifully marbled pork. They believe they’ve come up with “the perfect pig.” We bet you’ll agree after tasting these classic Mild Italian Sausages. All that marbling--plus fennel, paprika, sea salt, black pepper, and a touch of turbinado sugar-- makes them super juicy, tender, and flavorful.
Store frozen meats in your freezer until you’re ready to use it, then thaw only as much as you plan on cooking.
RECIPES & TIPS
Sausages can be broiled, grilled, or pan-fried whole. Italian sausages sautéed with sweet or hot peppers is a classic pairing, either piled on a bun or served with a side of pasta in marinara sauce. Sausage casings can be removed, and the crumbled, cooked meat used to stuff a calzone or top a pizza. Loose sausage meat can also boost the flavor of sauces or soups.
