Cattle raised in many other states in the United States must be heat tolerant breeds, which do not produce the best tasting beef. The cooler weather in Montana is ideal for raising Black Angus cattle, regarded to be one of the best breeds for quality beef. Why Angus Cattle are Special. No growth stimulants, hormones, or antibiotics are used in the production of this beef. These cattle are fed a 100% grass diet, free from corn or grains. Specifications: All steaks have been wet aged for 21 days to develop their flavor and tenderness before being individually wrapped and frozen. Montana Black Angus premium grassfed ground beef steak burgers are ground exclusively from solid muscle with a fat/lean ratio of 15/85%, making them very high quality. They are round, weigh 1/3rd of a pound each, and are also shipped frozen in 1lb packs. Applications: Use these samplers to throw grilling parties featuring some of the world’s finest grass fed beef, split the case raw with friends and family so everyone gets the cut they like, or store them in your freezer so you’ll have a variety of steaks & burgers on hand to suit your mood. The meat in these samplers can be grilled, broiled, or pan roasted. Recommended Cooking Temp: Steaks: Rare - 120°-125° Medium Rare - 130°-135° Medium - 140°-145° Medium Well - 150°-155° Well Done - 160° and above Burgers: The USDA recommends all ground meats be cooked to an internal temperature of 160 degrees.
