Wood Sorrel is similar to French Sorrel, the leaves are clover-like, divided into three heart-shaped parts and creased down the middle, a vibrant, lime green color and a lemony flavor (from the presence of oxalic acid).
Store wood sorrel in your refrigerator.
Wood Sorrel is a bright accent in green salads and can be cooked and presented in a variety of ways. It can be added to salads, used in soups, used in sauces (traditionally served with fish), or as a seasoning.
A chilled, sweetened, wood sorrel tea also makes a refreshing beverage along the lines of lemonade.
