Fried Chicken mushroom's color ranges from white to dark brown. Its size ranges from one to four inches in height. They are usually found in dense clusters near decaying trees and grassy fields.

Season: Fried Chicken mushrooms usually appear between June and October.
Applications: More like a cultivated mushroom in terms of flavor and applications, the fried chicken mushroom is most commonly used in Asian dishes and stir-fries. They are a great substitute for cultivated mushrooms such as Shiitake or Oyster.
Storage & Handling: Place in a paper bag and refrigerate for use within 10 days. Before cooking, clean them gently with a damp paper towel to remove dirt. Do not soak them.
