Portabellas have a deep flavor. Portabella mushroom caps are light tan in color, rounded, with a bit of texture. They have gills visible on the underside of the caps which can grow up to 6 inches in width. Portabellas have a distinctly pungent, earthy flavor and fleshy texture. They are actually mature criminis and have a meatier flavor, the result of a somewhat longer growing period.
All of our dried cultivated mushrooms are organically grown and carefully hand selected ensuring the highest quality dried mushrooms.
