Yaks play an essential role in the Tibetan diet. Yak meat is somewhat similar to beef, but the flavor is more delicate. Yaks carry most of their fat near the skin, allowing it to be easily trimmed away. This makes yak a very healthy and lean red meat.
Yak New York steaks are a great way to enjoy this exotic meat’s natural texture and flavor.
Applications: Treat llama strip steaks as you would beef NY strips. For three suggested cooking methods, please refer to Three Techniques for Cooking Steaks. Tibetans enjoy yak meat either sliced thin and quickly fried in butter, or cubed, skewered and grilled.
Specifications: Each order is for 12lbs of steaks. Each steak is 8oz. There are 24 steaks per box. The meat is shipped frozen.
