Applications: Grilling is the ideal use for these skewers, either seasoned or in a marinade. You can also roast them in the oven. Venison pairs well with fruit flavors like apples, pears, and cherries. Also consider cooking with mushrooms, sweet potatoes, thyme, rosemary and red wine. Brining, or soaking in vinegar or water is a good way to reduce some of venison’s gaminess if desired.
