While it is possible to make vanilla scented sugar at home using whole vanilla beans, this vanilla sugar is very different and very special. Sugar has been mixed with large quantities of ground vanilla bean powder, giving it not only the scent, but also the flavor and speckled appearance of real vanilla seeds. The finished product’s consistency is similar to conventional powdered sugar – exceptionally fine.

Store vanilla sugar in a cool, dry place.

Vanilla sugar can be used as you would normal sugar in desserts or dissolved into hot drinks. Vanilla is not only a delightful flavor in itself; it is also a flavor enhancer, so adding just a little can increase the potency of other flavors without presenting a strong vanilla taste.
