Trampetti organic extra virgin olive oil is widely regarded as one of Italy’s finest organic oils.  It is renowned for its ultra-low acidity and intense, yet harmonious blend of flavors evoking freshly-cut grass, fresh herbs, and artichokes.

To produce this ultra-premium oil, 100% hand-harvested green Maraiolo olives are processed the same day they’re picked.  Trampetti harvests their olives earlier than most other producers in Italy, resulting in oil with high polyphenol levels (a sign of high quality fruit) and low levels of free oleic acid (a sign of freshness).

This olive oil has been certified organic by the Italian Association of Organic Agriculture (AIAB /Associazione Italiana Agricoltura Biologica).

Compared to the flavors of other bulk extra virgin olive oils we offer, Trampetti is a medium-strength oil. Colli Etruschi olive oil offers a stronger flavor while Casina Rossa olive oil is more mild.

Storage: For best quality, store extra virgin olive oil away from heat.

Shelf Life: Approximately six months.

Trampetti extra virgin olive oil can be used in any recipe calling for extra virgin olive oil.  It’s particularly good as a finishing touch for pasta, sautéed greens, soups, bean dishes, salads (also a great ingredient for salad dressings) and seafood carpaccio.

Fine extra virgin olive oil should not be used as cooking oil, both because of its low smoke point and the heat sensitive nature of its flavor and aroma.  To enjoy its full flavor with hot food, simply drizzle the oil on to the dish as a finishing ingredient.
