This spelt is certified organic and grown on a family farm on the Columbia Plateau of Eastern Washington which is known for its superior quality cereal grain production because of its arid climate and its fertile and mineral-rich soils.
Applications: Use cooked spelt berries in salads, soups, stews, and other recipes that call for rice.
Preparations: To cook spelt berries use the ratio of 1 part berries to 3 parts water or stock, cover and simmer.
