This ravioli is filled with a blend of sweet Italian sausage, fresh spinach, and mozzarella cheese. The outer pasta wrapping is made with egg pasta and is a classic white/light yellow color.
Ingredients:
Filling: Sausage (pork, water, salt, spices {fennel, pepper}, dextrose, spice extractives, natural flavor, extractive of paprika), mozzarella cheese (pasteurized whole milk, culture, salt, enzymes), ricotta cheese (pasteurized whole milk, vinegar, salt), spinach, romano cheese (made from cow’s milk, salt, enzymes), egg whites, blended oil (olive/canola oil), black pepper.
Pasta: Durum flour, water, eggs, turmeric oil.
Storage: Store Nuovo sausage ravioli in its bag in your freezer until you’re ready to cook it. After opening the bag, store the frozen pasta in zip-top bags with all the air pressed out for better shelf life.
Shelf Life: Up to 8 months frozen & unopened. Use within two months of opening for absolute best quality.
Nuovo sausage ravioli is best cooked from a frozen state.
In a large saucepan or stockpot bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add Nuovo pasta, then stir immediately to avoid pasta sticking to the bottom of the pot (which causes breakage). Cook for 4-6 minutes until al dente.
Using a spider or strainer to scoop out the pasta rather than pouring it into a colander will help protect its appearance.
This pasta pairs particularly well with tomato-based sauces.
