Do your children love macaroni & cheese? These fun fish-shaped raviolis are filled with a cheese blend evoking their favorite dish. Nuovo raviolis store in the freezer until you need them, and can be thrown into boiling water straight from the freezer.
Each fish weighs approximately 8.8grams and is 1” long.
Ingredients:
Filling: Ricotta cheese (pasteurized whey, whole milk, cream, vinegar, salt), cheese powder (dehydrated blend of whey, cheese [granular and cheddar {pasteurized milk, cheese culture, salt, enzymes}], buttermilk solids, whey protein concentrate, salt), mozzarella, milk, egg whites, paprika oil, turmeric oil, annatto oil.
Pasta: Durum flour, water, eggs, turmeric oil, paprika oil.
Nuovo pasta is best cooked from a frozen state.
In a large saucepan or stockpot bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add Nuovo pasta, then stir immediately to avoid pasta sticking to the bottom of the pot (which causes breakage). Cook until al dente.
Using a spider or strainer to scoop out the pasta rather than pouring it into a colander will help protect its appearance.
