Washington’s Puget Sound

Geoduck (pronounced “gooey-duck”) is considered by some to be one of nature’s lesser known aphrodisiacs. The neck meat has a deliciously mild flavor with the crisp "crunchy" texture of a cucumber. The body meat is tender and has a balanced shellfish flavor. Geoduck is prized at sushi bars because it goes well with other flavors. Geoduck is considered a delicacy in Japan and can be found at many high-end Japanese restaurants in the US. Our whole cleaned geoduck is fresh and packaged to protect its flavor and texture.

Storage: Geoducks are best kept alive by placing them in an open container in the refrigerator and covering them with a clean, wet towel (dampened with salted water) to prevent them from drying out.

Do not keep them in a bucket of sea water. Do not store them in plastic bags or other air tight containers.

For long term storage, geoducks can also be frozen either shucked or in the shell.

Shelf Life: 2-4 days fresh.

Geoduck siphon meat is ideal for sushi, sashimi, or ceviche. The body meat is best cooked, and is often sautéed or steamed.
