Jonah crabs are the larger cousins of the Peekytoe crab. While peekytoe claws are rather puny (and thus generally only sold as meat), Jonah crab claws are larger and more meaty.
These claws have had half of their shells clipped away to enable easy access to the large lumps of meat. The pincer-portion of the shell is left on for a beautiful presentation. They're are cooked and ready to eat chilled as soon as they’ve been thawed.
Store Jonah crab claws in your freezer until you need them, then thaw.
Thawing Tips
Thaw Jonah crab claws and serve them with cocktail sauce, melted butter, another dipping sauce of your choice, or (shell off) as part of salads.
