Le Québécois grain-fed veal is a flavorful alternative to the pale veal found in your grocery store. This ground veal has a 15% fat to 85% lean blend, which is a good all-purpose ratio as much at home in veal burgers as it is in tomato sauces.

Grain-fed veal is not the same as ‘pale veal.’ Its natural rose color comes from a varied, nutritious diet, including grains, which give the meat a more robust flavor for two reasons: First, grains give the meat subtle marbling that infuses the meat with flavor and tenderness that veal is known for. Second, grain-fed veal contains more iron and other minerals which add to the delicious flavor and the animal’s health.

Le Québécois is the first veal program to combine USDA approved All Natural* status, humane animal husbandry, full traceability, and sustainable farming practices.

Store ground veal in your freezer until you're ready to use it. For thawing tips, please read Safely Defrosting Food for Maximum Flavor.

Thawing and refreezing raw meat is not recommended.

Ground veal has almost limitless applications, but here are a few suggestions: use it in pasta sauces (it’s great for Bolognese!), make veal burgers, season it to make homemade kebabs or bulk veal sausage, blend it with ground wild boar for some of the world’s best meatballs.
