These pastas should be boiled in salted water until al dente (roughly five minutes for rice pasta, four for corn pasta). Once cooked they can be tossed in warm sauce & served immediately, or rinsed with cold water to stop the cooking process and used in gluten-free pasta salads or reheated later.
Rice pasta's mild flavor works particularly well in lighter applications, such as pasta primavera & seafood dishes. It can also be used in many Asian dishes that call for rice noodles, bringing unusual new shapes to traditional Chinese and Southeast Asian recipes.
Corn pasta has a more robust flavor that can stand up to stronger sauces, particularly tomato based ones.
