Morels are wild mushrooms that are in the same fungi phylum as the fresh truffle. Known for their unique honeycombed, hollow, cone-shaped cap, morels are incredibly flavorful, with an earthy, buttery & smoky flavor.

Morels come in a range of colors from a rich tan, blonde, or grey to an extremely dark brown. Their aroma is earthy and woodsy.

Freezing wild morel mushrooms preserves their flavor and texture far better than drying, allowing you to enjoy this wild delicacy year round at near fresh quality.

Store frozen mushrooms in your freezer until you're ready to use them, then thaw.

Frozen morels can be thawed and then cooked as you would fresh morel mushrooms. They’re delicious in stews, soups, stuffings, risotto (how to make risotto), sautés and other side dishes.

Morels pair extremely well with asparagus, fiddlehead ferns, garlic, white wine, lamb, cream, butter & cheese (particularly goat cheese or parmigiano reggiano), caraway, bacon or pancetta, fresh herbs and pork.
