Storage: Store puya peppers in an air-tight container in a cool, dark cupboard.
Shelf Life: Puya chilies will retain their potency for at least a year, but likely much longer.

Dried puya peppers can be ground into chili powder or reconstituted in boiling water. In addition to general use as a medium-mild chile, they can also be used to replace guajillo peppers in mole to add more spice.
