Habanero Chiles (Capsicum Annuum) are very hot chiles. Behind the heat is a fruity flavor that makes these chiles a wonderful way to spark up a dish. Habanero chilies are round, oblong and about ¾ inch wide. Consider the habanero to be a 10 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the hottest). The only hotter chile we offer is the famous ghost chili.

We also offer organic habanero chilies and pre-ground habanero chili powder.

Caution: These chilies are extremely hot.

Wear gloves while handling chilies. Wash hands thoroughly before touching eyes & sensitive tissue.
If grinding, avoid inhaling powder. Eye & respiratory protection recommended.
In the event of inhalation, move to open air to clear lungs.
In the event of burning eyes, flush with eye wash. For burning skin, wash thoroughly with soap & water.
If irritation persists, seek medical aid.

Storage: Store habanero chilies in an air-tight container in a cool, dark cupboard.

Shelf Life: Habanero chilies will retain their potency for at least a year, but likely much longer.

Habaneros are very, very hot. Use them sparingly, add a little to fresh salsa, sauces, chili and anything else you want to start a 4 alarm fire with. Great in tortilla soup and other Mexican recipes.
