Habanero Chiles are very hot chiles. Behind the heat is a fruity flavor that makes these chiles a wonderful way to spark up a dish. Consider the habanero to be a 10 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the hottest).  The only hotter chile we offer is the famous ghost chili.

These dried habanero chilies have been crushed into a blend of fine flakes and seeds that can be used to flavor a wide variety of dishes with more convenience than whole dried habaneros.

Note: This product has been irradiated to protect against microbes and disease.

Caution: These chili flakes are extremely hot.

  • Wear gloves while handling chilies. Wash hands thoroughly before touching eyes & sensitive tissue.
  • If grinding, avoid inhaling powder. Eye & respiratory protection recommended.
  • In the event of inhalation, move to open air to clear lungs.
  • In the event of burning eyes, flush with eye wash. For burning skin, wash thoroughly with soap & water.
  • If irritation persists, seek medical aid.

Storage: Store granulated chilies, chile pieces, and chile flakes in air-tight containers in cool, dry cupboards.

Shelf Life: Dried chile pieces will maintain their full flavor for at least twelve months.

Habaneros are very, very hot. Use them sparingly.  Try adding them to fresh salsa, tortilla soup, sauces, chili and anything else you want to start a 4 alarm fire with. These flakes can also be used as a seasoning for bruschetta, pizzas and more.

To make them easier to mix into recipes, these flakes can be ground down further (How to Grind Your Own Chile Powder) or quickly rehydrated prior to use (How to Rehydrate Dried Chiles).
