While truffle sauce is ready to use as a finishing touch or topping for almost any dish right out of the jar, truffle paste’s flavor is so strong that it’s better used as an ingredient in sauces or otherwise integrated into dishes.
Storage: Once opened, truffle paste should be stored in its jar in the refrigerator, with the paste covered in a thin layer of olive oil.
Shelf Life: Up to two years unopened, around seven days after opening.
Use truffle paste as a component ingredient in dishes rather than a topping or spread. Because truffles’ flavor is heat sensitive, it is best added at the end of cooking or integrated into a sauce that is then added to just cooked dishes.
