The black rice, quinoa & lentil blend can be served as a side dish with almost any dish, but pairs especially well with stronger-flavored meats like beef and game meats
. It can also be added to soups.
Basic Cooking Instructions:
Rinse the blend before cooking.
Combine the blend, a pinch of salt and water in a pot at a ratio of 1 3/4 cups water per cup of the blend.
Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover the pot and simmer for 25-30 minutes (until all liquid is absorbed). Remove the pot from the heat and let it stand, covered, for ten minutes before removing the lid & fluffing with a fork. Serve.
