You select the date that you would like your products delivered at checkout. Fedex can deliver your product any day Tuesday through Saturday, except on holidays or the day after a holiday. Non-perishable items are shipped via UPS or FedEx Ground and take 2-7 business days. Call us if you would like your ground shipment expedited.
Orders for items with Fedex Overnight Delivery need to be placed by 10AM EST, Monday through Friday in order to be received the following day. Orders placed after 10AM will ship as early as the next business day or on the date you choose.
It is best to have packages sent to a business or to a place where there will definitely be a person available to receive the delivery. Please keep in mind that we are not responsible for products that spoil if there is not someone to receive your FedEx delivery on the date that you request it.
In the event you need to change the shipping address on an order after it has shipped, contact us immediately. We may be able to redirect it in transit. If it is possible to redirect, we may, at our discretion, charge an additional $10 for this service in order to cover redirect fees incurred with the shipping company.
All perishable products (such as meat or seafood) are sent with gel packs via either Fedex Priority or Fedex Standard overnight. Almost all non-perishable items (such as dried mushrooms or dried peppers) are sent via FedEx Ground or UPS Ground, which takes 2-7 business days for delivery. The shipping method for each item is noted on each item page.
Items that ship via Ground can be upgraded to overnight shipping (for a fee) by contacting us immediately after placing your order.
For an additional $20 charge we can arrange a Saturday Fedex delivery for perishable items if Saturday delivery service is available in your area.
Shipments Outside The Continental US & Surcharges
We only ship within the United States, the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Limitations and surcharges apply to shipments outside the continental United States:
Hawaii & Alaska: $20 surcharge (this may be waived at our discretion depending on the size of your order).
Puerto Rico & the US Virgin Islands: Call for a shipping quote.
Canada: We do not ship to Canada at this time.
Ways to Order
There are 2 ways to place an order to Marx Foods.com:
1) Order online through the secure shopping cart on the site (fastest).
2) Contact Us for our Terms of Sale form, fill it out, and place your order by mail or over the phone.
We have access to thousands of specialty items not featured on this web store. If there is a particular item you are looking for, but do not see, please Contact Us and we will create a special order for you. Smaller quantities of items already offered on the Marx Foods store are not available.

We guarantee that your order will arrive in excellent condition.
We do not take returns on perishable items. However, at our sole discretion, we may issue you a credit or resend your order if the product is not in excellent condition.
We may take returns of unopened dry goods, at our sole discretion, in exchange for a refund less shipping costs (except when covered by our quality guarantee).
If you would like to request a credit or your order to be re-sent, here's what to do:
1) Take a digital photograph of the product.
If you place an order and subsequently cancel it, we may at our sole discretion, charge a 10% cancellation/re-stocking fee.
2) Put the product into your refrigerator or freezer as you normally would.
3) Contact us immediately at 1-866-588-MARX (6279) or .You must contact us within 24 hours of order receipt to make a claim.
Please keep in mind that we are not responsible for products that spoil if there is not someone to receive your FedEx delivery on the date that you request it.
Q: Can I order a smaller quantity than what’s listed on your site?
A: Unfortunately no, not at this time at least. Our traditional customers are restaurants and we cannot break the boxes. We’re able to offer a discount by selling in bulk.
Q: Can I place an order over the phone?
A: Yes, although it is much faster to order through the website. Contact us to request our Terms of Sale form, which needs to be filled out and sent back to us before we can take your phone order.
Q: Why are all the products sold in bulk and how does it work out portion-wise?
A: For more than a decade we have been selling only to fine restaurants and just recently began selling to home chefs through this webstore. You can shop like the pros, but that means buying in bulk. Buy in bulk to get the finest foods and save money.
Our products are of a level of quality traditionally only widely available to restaurants. As such, they are usually packaged in cases for restaurant use. Many of our perishable items are delivered frozen and can either be thawed and consumed right away or kept frozen for later meals. Many products are individually wrapped for easy freezing and some are already broken into portions.
Comparing the per-portion cost of preparing these products at home vs. ordering the same ultra-high quality items in a restaurant will make clear the substantial savings to be had by ordering them in bulk. The number of portions in each order will vary from product to product. For example 10 lbs of 1/2lb Kobe Beef Burgers equals about 20 burgers. Five lbs. of ravioli works out to about 15 main course portions. Chefs regularly portion out 6oz of fish per person, so a 10lb case of black cod fillets contains about 26 entrée portions.
Q: Is there a way to save on shipping?
A: Yes. If you’re ordering several items from the same category, give us a call and we’ll do our best to group the items and pass on the savings.
Q: How soon will my order ship?
A: Pick your preferred delivery date during checkout for orders of perishable items shipping via Overnight. Someone must be present to receive perishable orders. Non-perishable items are sent via Ground, and will ship ASAP. If there is a certain day you’d like your Ground order to arrive, contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request or arrange for expedited shipping.
Q: Can I come in to pick up my order?
A: If you live in Seattle, yes. Our first retail shop is open in lower Queen Anne (click here for more info). We may be opening more retail locations in the future, but for now we only offer in-store pickup at our Seattle location.
Q: What kind of special requests are accommodated?
A: If you’re looking for a specialty food item and can’t find it, we do our best to source it for you. We have access to well over 5,000 items.
